Leave it to Sideways to remind me each and every time I accidentally send out a song we’ve already sampled before. It was back in 2009 — three people participated that week for BeatSession 07|17|09: Sideways, TekTheIntern, and 25/8. Of course, you’d never get a chance to hear these throwback sessions if it weren’t for my occasional memory lapse. So I guess it’s a good thing, right? Well, at least it’s new to most of this week’s participants. I was hoping to get a submission in this week. But it’s all good — maybe I’ll participate the next time I accidentally pick this sample again.
This week’s sample comes from Timothy Wilson’s 1978 self-titled release.
