Original Sample:

Hayo Haya by Arik Einstein

What if your influence on music was so deep that virtually every present day song in your country was able to trace its roots back to you? This is the case with Arik Einstein and is probably why he was ranked as the 22nd greatest Israeli of all time.

This week’s sample is taken from Arik Einstein’s 1969 album, Puzi (or Poozy). On this album, he is backed by The Churchills Band. Some consider this to be the first Israeli Rock album to ever be released. Israeli psychedelic rock — man, this opens up a whole new category of music that I never really knew about. When I first heard this sample, I was so confused. During the intro, i was like, “cool its jazz!”… then an ominous sound starts fading in. then random coughs and clicking noises. then psychedelic rock? then hebrew. wait… hebrew!? then my head exploded. Pure dopeness on so many levels.

This week’s beat session has 15 submissions and a few new faces. Once again, I threw something together real quick. It’s lacking a hook and is not really mixed down right, but I plan to reupload once it’s finished. On to the next…

peace, @illa0804/@generationill

So This Week After Saladin’s Call…I just kept tossin and turnin..Sleep is Hard…but once I doze off and start to feel sleepy…If its on Its on..I’ll fall asleep in a second and that is the Anatomy of a Nightmare. In a Dream…I’m walking along a Lonely Road in Brooklyn…I said to myself ‘Knuckle Up!’it might be a Ghetto Tragedy in the making, glad I’m a black belt in Karateka Flow, but nothing happened…I kept on walking then I start hearing Iyohiya Joint playing in the distance..I tried figuring out where the sound is coming from, and its from a Bar called H311A1NTH0T…I went inside..sat alone In The Dark Bar ordered a drink took a sip and all of a sudden I had Dark Visions of Invisible Monsters floating around me…then Boom! I woke up! glad I did…coz I’m on a deadline and there is still No Hook on This Beat. LoL!

Anyways haha…This week’s session is so diverse…I dig everyone’s flip to the sample. Kudos!… Looking forward to next week’s session!

    • Yo that’s was bananas and creative Thanks Klimatic, those drums were mean, had that MF Doom and Flying Lotus feel to it. Hi-Rock, Man you keep coming with that freshness, Bruce Juice, getting too gully with that track, like you’re picaso’n a murder. Black Ph03nix- that was head nodding at it’s finest DOPE. Sideways- I can imagine a Gorillaz type video to yours, killed it. illa- man you keep comin with that “feel” not matter what dude what you have is truly amazing. Too many great submission glad to be apart of a group of elite producers

  5. man i always enjoy when the week’s sample has so many different sounds to it bc u always get so many different takes, n u c which piece caught each producer’s ear!

beats that really caught my ear: The Lone Ranger, Hi-Rock, NeV, n illa…..them shits cray!

finished a beat but stuck in a hotel room in the national’s capital with horrible wifi so im outta gas! hopefully when i touch down back home tomorrow i can get my beat in to illa for the week!

  6. Hi-Rock, those are some lyrics! Like some Sin City —-!!!!
What happens in the next episode?

Thanks to the homie Klimatic! You got it brother 🙂 “I wanna hear it againanagain!” – none other than Big Boss himself! Man that game pushes waaaaay too much knowledge.

My only problem with this week’s session was that there are not enough man hours in the week to have fun with the track! Amazing choice!

EVERYBODY outdid themselves. And welcome to those new to the sessions! They’ve changed my life for real.

    Peace,

    BP
